Iowa Vacation Information
- Clear Lake.
Fishing, Campsites, Swimming, McIntosh Woods State Park Lies along the north
shoreline. This 4.7 mile wide lake is located off Iowa B30 near Interstate
35 near the Minnesota boader.
- Coralville
Lake. Fishing, Swimming, Campsites with and without electric hookup, Showers,
Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp
(small fee may apply), Marina, Fuel. Visitor Information Center. There are
several Federal recreation developments nearby. Adjacent to Lake McBride State
Park. I 80 to exit 244. Near Iowa City.
Coralville Lake Marina
- Iowa Great
Lakes, West Okijobi, East Okijobi, Big Spirit Lake. Fishing, Swimming,
Campsites, Launch Ramps, Marinas. East and West Okijobi are connected by an
under hi-way bridge and have just about everything for your leisure including
boat access restaurants, bars, amusement parks, resorts, and beaches. Big
Spirit Lake lies just to the north-northeast and also features camping, but
is not connected to the Okijobi Lakes. Other notable lakes around Big Spirit
include Grovers, Little Spirit, Hottes, Pearl and Loon. These lakes are what
many boaters from Iowa call the Iowa Great Lakes and are all located off U.S.
71 near Milford, Arnolds Park and the Community of Spirit Lake.
- Rathbun Lake.
11,000 Acre Lake. Sailing, Fishing, Swimming, 1000 Campsites (some with
and without electric hookup), Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary
Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply), Marina, Fuel.
Visitor Information Center. In the rolling hills of southeastern Iowa, also
features a floating restaurant and a fish hatchery. 85 miles southeast of
Des Moines on Iowa State Route 5.
- Lake Red
Rock. Fishing, Swimming, Campsites with and without electric hookup, Showers,
Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp
(small fee may apply), Marina, Fuel. Visitor Information Center. 4 miles southwest
of Pella on County Road T15.

Center. Just 11 miles north of Des Moines. Off I 35 to Iowa State Route 141.
Saylorville Lake Marina
- Storm Lake.
3000 Acres. Fishing, Swimming, Campgrounds, Marinas, Fuel, Four Launch
Ramps. A popular lake in northwestern Iowa. Two Marinas are located
on opposite sides of the lake. Dredging is scheduled for the year 2000.
Located off U.S. 71 in Storm Lake in northwestern Iowa.
