Wednesday October 13th Afternoon -  Opening Celebrations

Thursday October 14th  Afternoon -  Riverboat Races (Listen to Marine Radio for River   Closing Information) (closed only for races).

Friday October 15th  Morning   -  Delta Queen, Mississippi Queen
and the American Queen Arrive in Port (A day you won't want to miss!) North side of the Ohio in 
Downtown Cincinnati off limits to
pleasure craft, south side open .

Afternoon -  Parade of Tall Stacks Listen to Marine Radio for River Information

Evening    - The Delta and Mississippi Queen depart.

Saturday  October 16th Afternoon -  Riverboat Races II. Listen to Marine Radio for River closing information.

Sunday October 17th Morning    - Delta Queen and Mississippi Queen return to Port.  American Queen is scheduled to return to port. (updated 4-7-99).

Here are the Ramps on the Ohio River  in the Greater Cincinnati Area, some charge small ramping fees. This area is within the pool from the Ohio Indiana Line to the Meldahi Locks and Dam just southeast of I-275.  Here's the list: From West to East:
 
Great Miami Ramp at Shawnee Lookout Park.  Take U.S. 50, 2 miles S. on Lawrenceburg Rd. in Elizabethtown. 
Riverside Public Ramp.  Off State Route 30 to Idaho St., East on Southside St. in Cincinnati.
Yeatman's Cove Public Landing.   East of Riverfront Stadium Complex off State Route 52 (Mering Way). 
Schmidt's Field.  End of Peters St. just of State Route 52 (west of I-275 on the eastern side of the city)
New Richmond Public Ramp. End of Augusta St: Off State Route 52 New Richmond (East of I-275)
Moscow Public Ramp.  Broadway St. Moscow, just above the Meldahi Lock and Dam. 

 

Downtown Cincinnati is a no wake zone  and viewing of the show is on  the south side of the river only.  Check with your marine radio for instructions and the best places to be on the river during various events. Downtown Cincinnati has many restaurants with docking and fuel is available up and downstream from downtown. Be sure to bring your camera !. A boat parade for pleasure craft is being discussed, we will post more information as it is made available.
