Alabama River Lakes.
These lakes provide 1048 miles of shoreline with 35,640 acres of water.
There are
three marinas and 31 public recreation areas on these three lakes.

Lake Logan Martin. 275 Miles of Shoreline, Fishing, Swimming, General
Water Sports, Picnic Shelter, Marinas, Fuel, Ramps (small fee may apply),
Motels, Grocery. Located on the Coosa River this lake is known as the "Lake
of 1000 coves". Residential housing is also located on the lake.
Located off Interstate 20 near Pell City.

Lake Martin. 40,000 Acres, Fishing, Swimming, Skiing, Rental Cabins,
Camping, (with and without electric hookup), Fuel, Scuba, Marinas. Home
of the infamous "Goat Island". Lake Martin is located in central Alabama
on the Tallapoosa River. It is a man-made lake and has more than 750 miles
of shoreline. Construction of Martin Dam was completed in 1926 forming
the lake. Today it is a water playground used for all types of recreation
