Dillon Lake. Boating, Sailing, Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Marina,
Fuel. Dillon Lake features two marinas and plenty of nature and watersports,
with mountain winds proving to be a challenge to even experienced sailors.
Located in the heart of the mountains just off I-70 near Dillon in Summit
County.

Lake Granby, Fishing, Swimming, Water Sports, Campsites, Picnic
Grounds, Ramps, Marina, Fuel, Information Area. This lake is located at
the head of the Colorado River and is located in the heart of the scenic
Arapaho National Recreation Area at the south end the Rocky Mountain National
Park. Take U.S. 34 east of Steamboat Springs or west from Estes Park.

Gunnison / Blue Mesa Res. 26 miles long, Fishing, Skiing, Marinas,
Fuel, Restaurant. Excellent Trout fishing. Blue Mesa Lake is Colorado's
largest lake. Blue Creek and Elk Creek Marinas offer fuel and concessions
along with guided fishing tours. Be sure to visit Pappy's a popular restaurant
stop. Located in Curecanti National Recreation Area, Gunnison, Colorado.

Jackson Lake. Boating, Fishing, Swimming, Campsites without electric

day. Located 80 miles east of Denver just outside of Fort Morgan off Colorado
highway 39.

John Martin Reservoir/ Horseshoe Boating, Fishing, Swimming, Campsites
without electric hookup, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station,
Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp. A portion of the Sante Fee Trail is preserved
here. These two lakes are side by side and Horseshoe is a no wake lake

near Las Animas off U.S. 50.

McPhee Reservoir. Fishing, Skiing, Boating, Camping, Marina,
Fuel. Popular attractions near the lake include Escalante Ruins.
Located in Southwestern Colorado in the San Juan National Forest,
off Colorado State Route 184 at Dolores.

Navajo Lake. 15,000 acres, 36 miles long, Boating, Houseboating,
Fishing, Camping, Hiking, Houseboating, Beach, Water Skiing, Marina, Ramps,
Fuel. Boat launching of available at the north side of the lake. Popular
for record Northern Pike Fishing. This lake is huge, known as Colorado's
Lake Powell. Colorado State Parks Pass required for entrance or $ 4 per
day on the Colorado side. Navajo Lake is located on the border of Colorado
at Arboles and 35 miles into New Mexico.

North Sterling . 3,000 acres, Boating, Fishing, Sailing, Swimming,

Grounds, Marina, Fuel. Popular Water Skiing Spot and great for camping.

changing water levels during dry seasons. Located 12 miles north of Sterling
(just south of the Nebraska border).

Pueblo Res. 4500 Acres, Boating, Fishing, Sailing, Swimming, Campsites
with and without electric hookup, Marina, Ramps, Drinking Water, Picnic
Grounds, Fuel. One of the largest bodies of water along the front
range, offering unlimited water-based recreational activities. Lake
Pueblo State Park is a southern Colorado mecca for sun lovers and watersports
enthusiasts, including boaters, water-skiers, sailors and swimmers. Lake
Pueblo is one of the state's most popular parks, boasting nearly 1.7 million
visitors a year. So large is this area that there's not a crowded feeling.
An incredible 400 campsites spread out around the 9,600-acre park can accommodate
a lot of visitors. With 4,500 acres of surface water, the reservoir can
host many water sports. The fishing is exceptional here and the views in
this arid southern Colorado landscape are dramatic. Miles of tree-lined
hiking and biking trails and mild, year-round sunny weather makes any visit
to Lake Pueblo State Park a treat. Just outside of Pueblo. Directions -
Take I-25 to Pueblo, then U.S. 50 west, for four miles. Turn south on Pueblo
Boulevard and go four miles to Thatcher Avenue. Turn west and drive
six miles to the park. A one year family pass to all of Colorado's state

Ridgeway Lake. 1000 acres. Boating, Water-skiing, Sailing, Jet Skiing,
Fishing, Sailing, Swimming, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Marina, Ramps (four lanes), Drinking Water, Picnic Grounds, Fuel.
Swimming is permitted only at the Dutch Charlie swim beach. This modern
facility has changing rooms with lockers, showers and a first-aid station.
Colorado State Parks Pass required for entrance or $ 4 per day. The Sneffels
Range, the "Switzerland of
America" offers an excellent back drop for this lake. Located 22 miles
south of Montrose off U.S. 550.

San Luis Lakes. Fishing, Boating, Water-Skiing, Swimming, Campsites
with and without electric hookup, Picnic Grounds, Ramps. Located near the
Great Sand Dunes National Monument. Colorado State Parks Pass required
for entrance or $ 4 per day. Located 60 miles west of Walsenburg
off highway 160. Go north on Highway 150 for 13.5 miles. Turn left
on Six Mile Lane and drive straight for 8 miles and then drive north 1/8
mile to park

Spinney Lake. 2,500 acres. Fishing, Boating, Picnic Grounds Day/Use,
Ramps. Boat ramps are located on both the north and south sides of the
reservoir. Bigger boats are recommended during windy days where waves can
approach five feet. Wind surfing is ideal. Camping is available nearby
at Eleven Mile State Park. A one year family pass to all of Colorado's
state parks is available for $ 40 or daily fee of $ 4. The park is open
around May 1st to November 15th. Located U.S. 24 west for 55 miles over
Wilkerson Pass. Located 55 miles west of Colorado Springs off U.S. 24.
Turn south on Park County Road 23 and drive 2.8 miles to County Road 59.
Turn right and go another 1.1 miles.

Stagecoach Lake. 780 acres. Fishing, Boating, Showers,
Picnic Grounds, Campsites with and without electric hook up, Marina, Ramps,
Fuel. Colorado State Parks Pass required for entrance or $ 4 per day. Directions
- from Steamboat Springs, go four miles east on U.S. 40, then south on
Colorado 131 for five miles to Routt County Road 14 and then 7 miles south.

Steamboat Lake. Fishing, Boating, Swimming, Beach, Picnic Grounds,
Campsites with and without electric hook up, Marina, Ramps, Fuel. Steamboat
Lake State Park offers breathtaking scenery and plenty of exceptional recreational
opportunities and is one of the most popular parks in the state. There
is a daily $ 4 entrance fee or $ 40 annual family pass good at all Colorado
State Parks. Located west of Steamboat Springs, off US. 40 and north on

Sweitzer Lake. Fishing, Swimming, Picnic Grounds, Boating,
Water Skiing, . This small (about 4400 feet wide lake) is perfect for a
quick circle of the lake while waterskiing!. Also great for bird watching.
Colorado State Parks Pass required for entrance or $ 4 per day. Located
just three miles south of Delta in western Colorado.

Trinidad Lake. 900 Acres, Fishing, Swimming, Campsites with and
without electric hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump
Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). This lake is
popular for its variety of fish including rainbow and brown trout, largemouth
bass, channel catfish, walleye, crappie and bluegill all giving anglers
something to brag about !. The lake is also located near the historic Sante
Fe trail. Colorado State Parks Pass required for entrance or $ 4 per day.

Vega Lake. Fishing, Swimming, Boating, Water-skiing, Campsites with
and without electric hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary
Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). This high
mountain lake is 8000 feet above sea level and resides at the edge of Grand
Mesa national forest. Facilities are being added and should be done in
mid to late 1999. Colorado State Parks Pass required for entrance or $
4 per day. This 2 mile wide lake is located off I-70 onto Colorado Highway
65. Drive 10 miles, then take Colorado 330 east through Collbran and drive
the final 12 miles to the park entrance.
