Tennesse-Tombigbee Waterway.
This system extends 234 miles and forms 10 lakes, all extending from Demopolis,
Alabama in the south, to the Tennessee River in the north. In Alabama it is called "Black
Warrior - Tombigbee River Lakes" -see Alabama. It runs all the way to the gulf and is an
important waterway dating back to the pioneer days.
