Center. Famous for Large Crappie. Arkabulta State Park includes several
recreational areas including Plantation Point, Pleasant Hill, Bayou Point

Enid Lake. Fishing, Swimming, Campsites with and without Electric

Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply), Visitor Information Center. There
is a fishing pier for the handicapped just below the dam along with equestrian
trail. Popular stops include George Payne Cossar State Park, Plum Point
and Chickasaw Hills. This lake is Located about 56 miles south of Memphis,

Grenada Lake. Fishing, Swimming, Tennis, Fitness Trail, Campsites
with and without Electric Hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary
Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply), Visitor
Information Center. Some of the highlights include tennis courts, and fitness
trail. Home of Hugh White State Park and Piney Woods, Gums Crossing, Skunna-Turkey
recreational areas. Located 82 miles south of Memphis off I 55 and Mississippi

Okatibee lake. 12,000 Acres. Fishing, Sailing, Wind Surfing, Skiing,
Swimming, Campsites with and without Electric Hookup, Showers, Restrooms,
Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small
fee may apply), Marina, Fuel. Visitor Information Center. Nice wooded shoreline.
Located just north of Meridian on Mississippi State Route 19. (205) 690-2505.
Ross Barnett Res. Restrooms, Picnic Day / Use, Located just northeast of
Jackson, Mississippi, spans 20 miles into the Riverbend rest areas, all
located along the Natchez Trace Parkway. Sardis Lake. Fishing, Swimming,
Cabins, Campsites with and Without Electric Hookup, Showers, Restrooms,
Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small
fee may apply), Marina, Fuel. Visitor Information Center. Nice large swimming
beach and there is a swimming pool and recreation hall at John W. Kyle
State Park. Other spots include Pats Bluff, Clear Creek Landing, Lower
Lake and Teckville recreational areas. A total of 13 swimming beaches are
available (Seven with camping sites). 38 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee

Pecan Lake. Fishing. Located near the intersection Mississippi State
Routes 3 and 315 due west off I 55 and Exit 61.

Ross Barnett Reservoir. Fishing, Swimming, Water Skiing and General
Water Sports, Marina, Food, Fuel, Boat Ramps (small fee may apply). Jackson's
playground for water sports and a get away weekend, lighter use during
the weekday. The scenic Natchez Parkway runs along the northern side of
this scenic 17.6 mile long lake. There are several Island and coves on
various portions on the southern side and the northeastern side. Located
3 miles west if Ridgeland (just northeast of Jackson) off I 55.

Sardis Lake. Fishing, Swimming, Sailing, Campsites with and without
Electric Hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station,
Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply), Visitor Information
Center. Home of Teckville, Clear Creek Landing, Pats Bluff and Lower Lake
Recreational Areas. Located off I 55 at exit 61.
Tennesse-Tombigbee Waterway.
This system extends 234 miles and forms 10 lakes, all extending from Demopolis,
Alabama in the south, to the Tennessee River in the north. In Alabama it
is called "Black
Warrior - Tombigbee River Lakes" -see Alabama. It runs all the way to the
gulf and is an
important waterway dating back to the pioneer days.
