Allegheny Reservoir. 30 1/2 miles long . Fishing, Campsites with
and without electric hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary
Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramps (small fee may apply). One of
the most scenic lakes in the Alleghenies. It runs from about Salamanca,
New York southwest to Pennsylvania into the Allegheny State Forest. Several
campsites are located primarily on the Pennsylvania side. Kinzua Point
Information center is also located in PA. Located in the southwestern section
of New York along New York State Route 280 and Pennsylvania State Route
321.

Almond Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch
Ramp (small fee may apply), Visitor's Information Center. In the Finger
Lake Region, near the wineries at Hammondsport. 2 miles south of Hornell

Ashokan Reservoir. Fishing, Located in the Catskill State Park near
Kingston off New York State Route 28.

Black Lake. Fishing, Drinking Water, Restrooms, Picnic/Day Use.
This 17 mile long lake is located at Edwardsville and New York State Route
58.

Canadarago Lake. Fishing. Mt Otsego Ski Area lies just to the east.
Located U.S. 20 at Richfield Springs.

Canandaigua Lake. Fishing, Swimming, Boating, Marina, Fuel. Be sure
to visit Squaw Island on the northern section. This mostly residential
lake is located along U.S. 20 at Canandaigua, New York.

Cannonsville Reservoir. Fishing. This reservoir pools the west branch
of the Delaware River. Located just 1 minutes drive east of Deposit, New
York on New York State Route 10.

Cayuga Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). In the heart of Central New York this
lake features two state parks with camping; Cayuga Lake State Park on the
western shoreline near the north side of this 34 mile long lake, and Long
Point State Park on the eastern shoreline about 1/2 between the northern
most and southern most point. A waterfall lies in Taughannock State Park
on the southwestern shoreline (no camping). Also there are several other
recreational areas including Alan Treman State Marine Park (west of the
Cayuga Inlet on the southern tip) This lake is located south of Seneca
Falls along New York State Route 89 and runs to Ithaca, New York.

Lake Champlain. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). This area of water runs from Quebec
south along the New York / Vermont Line. Several state parks are along
the New York Side including, Lake Champlain State Park, Ausable Point and
Crown Point Reservation. Larger Craft and Marine Radio are recommended.

Chautauqua Lake. Fishing. Restrooms, Drinking Water, Picnic/Day
Use. Long Point State Park lies along the middle eastern shoreline. New
York State Route 17 crosses the middle of the lake. Located in western
New York northwest of Jamestown along New York State Route 394 and 430.

Conesus Lake. Fishing. Boating, Marina, Fuel. Located along
New York State Route 256 south of Lakeville.

East Sidney Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Off I 88 at the Unadilla Exit then 5

Lake Erie. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Two State Parks along this great lake
includes Lake Erie State Park near Dunkirk, New York and Evangola State
Park near Angola, New York. Larger Craft with navigational equipment and
marine radio advised if venturing far from shore.

Erie Canal. Part of the Erie Canal System founded in the 1800s and
much is still boatable in all sizes of pleasure craft including Syracuse

Great Sacandaga Lake. Campsites, Picnic/Day Use, Fishing, Launch
Ramps (Small Fee May Apply) Fuel, Marina, Visitors Information Center.
Stay away from buoys water low starting 2nd week of august. This 29 mile
long lake is located 36 miles northwest of Albany at Northville on New
York State Route 30.

Greenwood Lake. Fishing, Swimming, Boating. This 5.75 mile long
reservoir is popular for New Jersey and New York Boaters and has many ramps
for ease of trailering. The Northern half of the lake stretches into New
York State. Located on the state line with New York off Interstate 87 and
State Highway 17, in New York, head west into the community of Greenwood.

Hemlock Lake. Fishing. Located in Hemlock, New York along New York
State Route 15A.

Heneoye Lake. Fishing. Located in Honeoye off U.S. 20A.

Hudson River. Fishing, Picnic/Day Use, Restrooms, Drinking Water.
This River runs from Adirondack Park in Upstate New York to New York City
passing through Albany, Kingston, Newburgh and New York City. Popular stops
include several parks just north of New York City and F. D. Roosevelt Historic
Site near Fairview. The Hudson River allows you the ability to channel
in from the Atlantic Ocean past the Statue of Liberty clear up to the Erie
Canal and into the Niagara River where you can access the great lakes.

Irondequoit Bay. Fishing, Marina, Fuel. Accessible to Lake Ontario.
Located in Rochester, New York.

Keuka Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Keuka Lake State Park is located on
the northwestern fork. Located along New York State Route 54A from Hammondsport
to Penn Yan.

Oneida Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,

Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Verona Beach State Park is located on
the Located on the eastern side of this 20 mile wide lake. off I 81 Exit
30/31.

Lake Ontario. Fishing, Beaches, Campsites with and without electric
hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day
Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Most of Northwestern New York makes
up the southern shoreline. Several State Parks include: (from west to east)
Old Fort Niagara, Golden Hill, Lakeside Beach, Sandy Harbor Beach (all
west of Rochester, New York), Fair Haven Beach, Selkirk Shores, Southwick
Beach, Westcott (on the eastern side) and Long Point (on the Point Peninsula,
Chaumont Bay along one of the most scenic areas of eastern Lake Ontario).
Sodus Bay (in Sodus Point about 40 miles east of Rochester) offers a Marina
(Skippers Point) for fuel. Eagle and Hog Island are just a couple of Islands
in the bay. Navigational equipment and marine radio advised if you plan
on venturing a long way from shore.

Otsego Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). This 7 mile lake features Glimmerglass
State Park n the northeastern shoreline. Located north of Cooperstown along
New York State Route 80.

Otiseo Lake. Fishing. Located South of U.S. 20 on New York State
Route 174 near Clintonville.

Owasco Lake. Fishing. Beach. Island Park is located along the northern
shoreline. This 10 1/2 mile lake is located just west of Skaneateles lake
south of Auburn off New York State Route 38.

Pepacton Reservoir. Fishing. This scenic 16.5 mile long reservoir
is Located on the northwestern boundary of Catskill State Park just east
of the junction of New York State Routes 30 and 206.

Scaneateles Lake. Fishing. Golf, Beach, Marina, Fuel. Maus Marineland
lies along the southwestern shoreline of this 14 mile long lake at Glen
Cove. Primarily Residential Lake Located off U.S. 20 just west of Otiseo
Lake at Skaneateles.

Seneca Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply), Marina, Fuel. Seneca Lake State Park
lies along the northern shoreline and Sampson State Park (includes camping)
lies along the eastern shoreline 11 miles south of Geneva at the lakes
northern most point. Marina Park is located in the Barge Canal on the southern
point. Seneca is part of the New York State Canal system linking to the
Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. This 36 mile long lake runs from Geneva off
U.S. 20 to Watkins Glen at New York State Route 14.

Swinging Bridge Reservoir. Fishing, Launch Ramp (Small fee may apply),
Marinas Fuel. This 6.1 mile long lake is popular for boaters that have
craft in the 15-22 ft. range. Located 5.2 miles west of Monticello off
New York State Route 17.

Whitney Point Lake. Fishing, Campsites without electric hookup,
Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch
Ramp (small fee may apply). Popular fishing spot for sports fisherman.

There are many lakes in this scenic and much talked about region. Here

a select few that are noteworthy, while the rest you may want to keep secret

Cranberry Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,

Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Located just south of Cranberry Lake
off New York State Route 3.

area is located on the northwestern shoreline. This scenic 15 mile long
lake is located just south of Northville along New York State Route 30.

Lake George. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,

Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Hearthstone Point State Park lies along
the southwestern shoreline. There are many coves and islands to hide out
in while you take up a little fishing or just relax. This 30 mile long
lake is one of the most popular in the area and is located just east of
Lake George (city) off U.S. 9. Visit the Yankee Boating Center Featuring

Long Lake. Fishing, Campsites, Marina, Fuel, Ramps. There
are numerous state operated "Lean To's" (3 sided open camp sites with fire
place and outhouse) accessible from the lake on state land, first come,
first served and up to three days use without a permit. Long Lake
is actually a wide spot in the Raquette River which is an excellent canoe
route through the Adirondack Mountains. Accessible in Long Lake near New

Raquette Lake. Fishing, without electric hookup, Showers, Restrooms,
Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small
fee may apply). Golden Beach and Tioga Point recreation areas are nearby.
Located near Antlers just north of New York State Route 28.

Saranac Lakes. Fishing. A scenic series of lakes just west of Saranac,
New York along New York State Route 3.

St. Lawrence River. Fishing, Swimming, Watersports, Diving, Campsites,
Picnic Grounds, Ramps, Marinas, Information Center. From the "1000 Lakes"
region of Lake Ontario, the Historical St. Lawrence River extends all the
way to the Atlantac and has many Ports of Call on both the U.S. and the
Canadain Sides. There are many opportunities for diving as well as Ports
of Call. On the U.S. side this river lies along a line from Lake Ontario
east towards Upstate New York before it turns into Canada at Cornwell.
