Great Falls / Fishing Creek Reservoir. Fishing. This 5.2 mile long
thin reservoir is located just outside of Great Falls off U.S. 21 just
north of Wateree Lake.

Lake Greenwood. Fishing, Campsites without electric hookup, Showers,
Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/day use, Launch
Ramp (small fee mayapply). This 18 mile long lake features Greenwood State
Park along its southwestern section. Located 10 miles west of Greenwood,
South Carolina off South Carolina State Route 72 / U.S. 221.

Lake Jocassee. Fishing. This lake reaches 8 miles in length at its
longest point from the dam attaching Lake Keowee at the south to into North
Carolina. Located Just north of Keowee State Park north of South Carolina
State Route 11.

Lake Keowee. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/day use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). This lake extends from a dam on Lake
Jocassee16 miles south to just outside of Seneca, South Carolina. Keowee
State Park (just south of the dam) provides the recreational facilities.
Located just north of Seneca off U.S. 76.

Lake Marion. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/day use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Visitors Information Center. Lake Marion
measures 35 water miles in length by as much as 9 miles in width. Santee
State Park lies just off I 95 at the south end of the lake off the South
Carolina State Route 6 exit. Rock Pond state park is a little more secluded
and is located at the lake's southern point which features excellent fishing
especially around the many small islands just east of the park. A navigational
channel (Diversion Canal) is at the southeastern most point that leads
into Lake Moultrie.

Lake Moultrie. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/day use, Launch
Ramp (small fee may apply). This lake extends 12 miles long by 12 miles
wide. Recreational areas are on the northwestern and southeastern sides
of the lake. Located off South Carolina State Route 6 just west of U.S.
52.

Lake Murray. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/day use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). This is Columbia's playground and extends
up to 20 miles long by as much as 8 miles wide at various points. Drether
Island State Park features camping actually on an island accessible by
car in its western fork. This lake features many coves and forks along
with residential areas. Located off I 26 10 miles east of Columbia with
various access points off U.S. 76 (follow signs).

Wateree Lake. Fishing. Launch Ramp, (small fee may apply). Several
Fishing spots are located along various points of the 16 mile long narrow
lake. Located 28 miles north of Columbia along U.S. 21.

Clarks Hill Lake (J. Strom Thurmond Lake). Fishing, Campsites with
and without electric hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary
Dump Station, Picnic/day use, Marina, Fuel, Launch Ramp (small fee may
apply). Visitors Information Center. This is the largest U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers lake east of the Mississippi. It provides excellent striper
and bass fishing and is located near several historical and geological
sites. The visitors information center and public overlook are located
at the Natural Resource Management Center. This lake has two main forks
one extending 34 miles along the Sumter National Forest. Hickory Knob,
Baker Creek and Hamilton Lake State Parks are along the South Carolina
Side (north to south), along with Mt. Carmel, Howe Creek and Modoc Recreational
areas. The western fork extends into Georgia 22 miles. Located 20 miles
north of Augusta, Georgia off Georgia State Routes 28 and 150. Also accessible
off U.S. 378 in South Carolina near the state line. For a marina listing

Hartwell Lake. Fishing, Water Skiing, Campsites with and without
electric hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station,
Picnic/day use, Marina, Fuel, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Visitors
Information Center. Clemson University adjoins the lake. Several recreational
areas and Sadlers Creek State Park are located towards the southeastern
end of the lake. The lake runs from the Sumter National Forest about 28
miles all the way to Crescent Dam south of Hartwell, Georgia. Also the
27 mile long northeastern fork extends from just north of Sadlers Creek
State Park all the way to just south of Liberty, South Carolina (east of
Greenville). This is a very popular and scenic lake with hundreds of secluded
coves, you might want to visit soon! Located on the South Carolina / Georgia
Border along I 85. State Park is located off U.S. 29 just north of the
border.

Richard B. Russell Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric
hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/day
use, Marina, Fuel, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Visitors Information
Center. This is a newer lake located between J. Strom Thurmond Lake and
Hartwell Lake. It is known for some of the best fishing in the southeast
and offers two informative information centers. Located just outside of
Calhoun Falls, South Carolina off South Carolina State Route 81.

(in Charleston on the Cooper / Wando River), Isle of Palms, Bell Isle Gardens
(Georgetown), Intracoastal Waterway (in at Georgetown and at the North
Carolina State Line at the Little River Inlet), Huntington Beach (and State
Park) / Brookside Gardens, Murrells Inlet / Drunken Jack Creek (at the
start of the popular Myrtle Beach area Grand Strand), Garden City, Surfside
Beach, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach. In North Carolina be sure to check
