Baker Lake / Lake Shannon. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric

Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Baker Lake is 8 1/2 miles long
and features 4 recreational sites: Shannon Creek, Baker Lake, Boulder Creek
and Horseshoe Cove. Lake Shannon is 7 1/2 miles long and is just on the
other side of the dam from Baker Lake. Both lakes are located near mount
Baker (10778 feet) off a Baker Lake Highway (off Washington State Route
20) at Concrete.
Banks Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). This lake is 26 miles in length and
is pooled at Dry Falls Dam. Steamboat Rock State Park is located along
the northern section. This lake is located along the Columbia River in
northern Washington on U.S. 2 at Coulee City.
Lake Chelan. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,

Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply), Hotels on the
waterfront, Boat Tours. Recreational sites along the lake include Purple
Point, Lucerne, Prince Creek, Corral Creek, Safety Harbor Twenty Five Mile
Creek and Mitchel Creek. Here you can boat through the deepest gorge in
North America. The northern section of this 45 miles long stretch of water
is in the scenic North Cascades National Park (also called the Lake Chelan
National Recreational Area) while the southern is in the Wenatchee Forest.
Glaciers are nearby on the mountain tops in the North Cascades. Lake Chelan
State Park lies 13 miles west of Chelan just off U.S. 97.
Chief Joseph Dam / Rufus Woods Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and

Crescent Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,

Launch Ramp (small fee may apply), Visitor Information Center. Located
in the scenic Olympic National Park this 7 1/2 mile long lake is just off
U.S. 101 at Fairholm.
Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without
electric hookup, Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station,
Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). More than 24 recreational
sites provide camping along this section of the Columbia River and runs
more than 100 miles from the Grand Coulee Dam to Canada. Launch Ramps are
located at various points along Washington State Route 25 and 155 in the
northeastern portion of the state.
Lake Washington Ship Canal. Drinking Water, Restrooms, Picnic/Day
Use, Launch Ramps (small fee may apply), Marina, Fuel, Visitor Information
Center. More than 85,000 watercraft pass through the Canal locks each year.
Underwater windows offer views of migrating salmon and trout. Located at

Mayfield Lake / Riffe Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without

Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Mayfield State Park
lies along the eastern edge of this 6 mile long lake. Riffe Lake is one
mile east of Mayfield Lake on U.S. 12. (all located 12 miles east of I

Lake Merwin / Yale / Swift Creek Reservoir. Picnic Day Use. Cougar
and Beaver Bay Parks are a couple of recreational stopping points on Yale
Lake along these Lewis River pools. The lakes are not navigable but each
lake is large enough to provide boating and fishing. All three lakes are
nearly 8 miles in length and Swiftcreek Reservoir is surrounded by the
recovering scenic Gilfort Pinchot National Forest. Swift Creek Reservoir
is just 17 miles south of Mount St. Helens which erupted in the late 1970s.
All these lakes are located along Washington State Route 504 11 miles east
of I 5.
Moses Lake. Fishing, Picnic/Day Use. Moses Lake State Park lies
on the east side of the lake Across from Moses Lake. Adams East Museum
provides interesting artifacts. Located on I 90 at Moses Lake City Limits.
Omak Lake. Fishing. This 7 mile long lake is located in the Colville
Indian Reservation (limited).
Osoyoos Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Located on the Canadian Border. Osoyoos
Lake State Park is on the southern shoreline and boat ramps are located
within the park. Located at Oroville off U.S. 97.
Ozette Lake. 8 miles long. Surrounded by the Olympic National Park.
Fishing, Picnic/Day Use. Located in Ozette near Cape Alava.
Potholes Reservoir. Fishing, Campsites without electric hookup,
Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch
Ramp (small fee may apply). Potholes State Park is located along the southern
shoreline (of this 15 mile long lake) and offers camping facilities. Located
on I 90 a mile south of Moses Lake.
Quinault Lake. Fishing, Campsites without electric hookup, Showers,
Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch
Ramp (small fee may apply).
Ross Lake. Fishing, Campsites with and without electric hookup,
Showers, Restrooms, Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use,
Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Recreational campsites includes Hozomeen,
Lightning Creek, Rainbow, Big Beaver and Roland Point. This is a very scenic
lake that runs from Canada 18 miles south to Washington State Route 20
all in the Ross Lake National Recreational Area.
Lake Samish. Fishing, Located off I 5 at the Nulle Rd. Exit just
east of Bellingham.
Lake Sammamish. Fishing. Located off I 90 in east Seattle.
Silver Lake. Fishing, Campsites without electric hookup, Restrooms,
Drinking Water, Sanitary Dump Station, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small
fee may apply). This 5 mile long lake provides excellent fishing and is
located near Toutle River Park. Seaquest State Park provides camping facilities.
Located off I5 at exit 49.
Lake Washington. Fishing, Picnic Day/Use. This 17 mile long lake
is located in eastern Seattle and is accessible from Puget Sound through
Shilshole Bay at Discovery Park through the Chittenden Locks into the Salmons
Bay Waterway and then into the Lake Washington Canal, Lake Union, then
Lake Washington. State Parks with Picnic facilities are located in both
the northern and southern portions of the lake.
Lake Whatcom. Fishing. This 9.2 mile reservoir is located walking
distance from Sudden Valley (Just east of Bellingham).
Wynoochee Lake. Fishing, Campsites without electric hookup, Restrooms,
Drinking Water, Picnic/Day Use, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply). Home
of Bridgeport State Park. Located 30 miles north of Chelan off Washington
State Route 17. Located in the scenic Olympic National Forest near the
Olympic National Mountains. Follow signs from Montesano (about 38 miles

The Columbia and Snake River Locks & Dams. (Every Boaters Destination!)
Navigable from the Pacific to Lewiston, Idaho. These pools along the river
provides a haven for all boating throughout the entire route. The Columbia
River breaks north in Burbank and continues north to Canada and contains
several scenic pools (most mentioned above). Here are the pools going west
to east on both rivers (Southern Section) .
Bonneville Lock & Dam / Lake Bonneville. Fishing, Campsites

Picnic/day use, Marina, Fuel, Launch Ramp (small fee may apply), Visitors
Information Center. 2000 feet rugged rock walls of the Columbia River Gorge
provide fascinating scenery. Also be sure to watch migrating fish from
the underwater viewing rooms next to the fish ladders. Two of the nation's
largest hydro electric power plants are located here. Located 40 miles

The Dalles lock & Dam / Lake Celilo. Fishing, Campsites with

John Day Lock & Dam / Lake Umatilla. Fishing, Campsites with

apply). On the Columbia River. Be sure to visit the working lock and powerhouse.

on one of Lewis and Clarks' Campsites. Also features the Whitman Mission

Ice Harbor Lock & Dam / Lake Sacajawea. Fishing, Swimming, Campsites

Puget Sound.
This inlet from
the Pacific contains many islands, straits and canals and extends from
the Pacific to as far south as Olympia. It is also a popular recreational
boaters area featuring more than 25 state parks (some on their own islands
and most with camping facilities) and many historical lighthouses. Major
city stops include Tacoma, Seattle and Everett. Marinas and Fuel are available
at many locations.
